1. About NEKCHS
The Northeast Kansas City Historical Society is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting, promoting, documenting, and preserving the historical heritage of Northeast Kansas City.

4. Memberships
Memberships are subject to the membership levels, prices, benefits, eligibility requirements, and other information presented at the time of enrollment.
NEKCHS's fiscal year runs from November 1 through October 31.
Membership benefits may change periodically based on organizational activities and availability.
Unless otherwise expressly stated, membership is not transferable.
5. Events and Home Tours
NEKCHS may organize or promote home tours, educational programs, meetings, presentations, community events, and other activities.
Event dates, times, locations, participating properties, speakers, programs, and other details may change because of circumstances beyond NEKCHS's control.
Participation in certain events may also be subject to additional rules or conditions communicated during registration.
For home tours and events taking place on private property, visitors are expected to follow instructions provided by NEKCHS representatives, volunteers, property owners, and event personnel.
NEKCHS reserves the right to deny or discontinue participation when reasonably necessary for safety, security, property protection, or disruptive behavior.
6. Historic and Private Properties
Some NEKCHS activities may involve historic or privately owned properties.
Historic properties may contain stairs, uneven surfaces, narrow passages, older construction features, limited accessibility, or other conditions not commonly present in modern facilities.
Visitors should exercise reasonable care and follow all posted or verbal instructions.
7. Payments
Membership dues, donations, event registrations, merchandise purchases, or other payments may be processed through third-party payment providers.
By submitting a payment, you agree to provide accurate payment and contact information and authorize the applicable payment provider to process the transaction.
Additional terms imposed by the payment provider may apply.
8. Donations
Donations to NEKCHS are voluntary and are intended to support the organization's nonprofit mission and activities.
Any representation regarding tax deductibility is subject to applicable law and the donor's individual circumstances. Donors should consult their own tax professional regarding the deductibility of any contribution.
9. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise indicated, website content created or owned by NEKCHS—including text, graphics, logos, photographs, designs, documents, and other materials—is owned by or licensed to NEKCHS and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
